Our Goals:
We are a small kennel that has a litter
occasionally. Our goal is to produce Labs that can be a treasured
member of the family as well as a hunting companion or competitive
trial dog.

When we decide to have a litter a lot of thought goes into it such
as health, temperament, disposition, working ability and structure.
All of our dogs live and are raised in the house. We want to make
sure that our dogs and litters get the best socializing possible.
They are fed a fresh raw food diet and we use a combination of
modern and holistic medicine.
Our dogs are kept busy by competing in Field Trials, Hunt Tests,
Working Certificate Tests, Obedience and Rally. In the fall the dogs
spend many days in the marsh and in the fields being hunted over as
they were bred to do.
Our Start in Labs:
We got started in Labs through a
female that we rescued nine years ago. Clee came to us at 10months
old with no training and energy to burn. Obedience competition
wasn’t enough for her so we went to our first retriever training
trial and were hooked. Clee went on to become SHR UCD Jaryan’s
Cleopatra, TT, CD, JH, WCI, RNMCL. Now in retirement she is a
champion of holding down the couch!
Our Experience:
Chris is the avid hunter of the
family and takes all the dogs out for waterfowl and upland game. He
got hooked on competitive retriever trials by handling Clee to her
UKC Started Hunting retriever title. He now judges Field Trials,
Hunt tests and Working Certificate Tests. He has been President of
Mountain Valley Retriever Club for two years and Chairs their Field
Trial.
Pat has been in the dog game for over twenty years and was an
obedience instructor for 17 years and also managed a large boarding
facility where German Shepherds were also raised. Pat has worked
with many different breeds including Collies, German Shepherds,
Border Collies, Brittany Spaniel and of course Labs, putting many
titles on these dogs including an OTCH and HITS and #1 Brittany
Spaniel in Canada. She has spent 7 years in rescue and we currently
still have two permanent rescues living with us. Pat is also a Hunt
Test and Working Certificate Judge and has been a member of the
Canadian Kennel Club since 1984.
